Draft, not legal advice. This page was written directly from what ThreadNet's code actually collects and does — it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Treat it as an honest engineering description, not a binding legal document, until it gets that review.

What we collect

When you register, we collect your name, email, phone number, date of birth (to confirm you're 18 or older — ThreadNet requires this), gender, and optionally your occupation, the club you support, your country and state, your GOAT pick, and a display picture. If you set a password, we store it hashed, never in plain text — you can also sign in with a permanent profile link instead of a password.

You can optionally add your preferred playing areas (for location alerts about new turfs/sessions), and a separate gaming profile (platform, gamertag, preferred in-game club, skill level) if you want to find a gaming partner — both are entirely optional and not connected to any real game account.

What we collect as you use it

Sessions you show interest in and their outcomes; attendance at sessions you attend; membership status where a turf offers it; skill ratings other players or turf admins give you; Reels you post (video, caption, likes, comments); posts and comments in club community rooms; Ballers connections; direct messages between players; support tickets you submit; and, if you administer a turf or club, the venue/registration details and photos you upload for it.

Session or membership fees are processed through Paystack — we store the payment record and status (confirmed/rejected/amount), not your card or bank details, which Paystack handles directly.

Emails and cookies

We email you for things you'd expect: confirming your registration and email address, password resets, interest/payment/membership outcomes, session reminders and cancellations, new activity in an area you've flagged, and replies to support tickets. All of these are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider.

We use one functional cookie to keep you signed in (your profile access token) — no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run ThreadNet: Supabase (our database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Paystack (payment processing). Each only sees what it needs to do its job — Paystack sees payment details, for example, not your Reels or DMs. We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Other players can see your public profile (name, display picture, club supported, skill badge, posts and Reels you've made public). A turf admin can see who's shown interest in or attended their sessions. Direct messages are only visible to you and the other person in the conversation.

Deleting your account

Contact us through Support to close your account. Your profile is deactivated and hidden from other players immediately; some records (like payment history) may be retained for a period for accounting and dispute purposes before being fully removed.

Age requirement

ThreadNet is for players 18 and older. We check your date of birth at registration and don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
